The name Pranayama means breathing in Sanskrit, and traditionally there are eight ways of practicing breathing. The world changes so rapidly out of our imagination, we thus reach and seek alternative ways to suit the new normal. The artist seems to remind us of the importance of inner oneself, and through the practice of pranayama of stabilizing our thought. Through the works, the artist creates a series of experimental monotype printmaking as if painting, but on leather split hide, and having the digital halftone in layers, giving a touch of the color imagery while practicing on pranayama.
Painting artist Blessy reveals "Ctrl+i" pictures in details and unhinges the translation. It is chronologically ordered and resembles the way we used to "See" the visual artworks. Key elements are visible yet indirectly. MAN considers oil pastel to be the most fundamental creative instrument since kindergarten ages. Ctrl+i is the short-cut on the keyboard in Adobe Photoshop to invert the image color. Through the post-production works, Blessy attempts to illustrate everyday life in a subtle way which requires the audiences to pay extra attention to receive the message.
Repercussion is one of the artist's ongoing projects since 2015. The first series of repercussion contains 4 pieces, showcasing the scenery from Savannah, Georgia while the artist was completing her last quarter as an undergraduate; and the second series is dedicated to show 6 counties that Man went traveling Europe by the time she was under the artist in residence based in Madrid, Spain. The first series of Repercussion is designed to display on pedestals as square form; the second series is displayed in rhombus formal hanging on the wall to mimic the traditional Asian window frame.
Repercussion shed light on the relationship between landscape and inhabitants, forgoing a bridge from conventional oil painting to contemporary digital-age painting. The artist believes these elements are the most essential portions of how the society is composed. This series of oil paintings rendered on transparent surfaces in order to directly response to the surrounding with the integration of both front and back light sources. When illuminated, light bounces back and forth, obscuring the painterly blurry atmosphere in a way from impression to abstraction. Sunshine and good weather with natural light source certainly caused great impact to the artist herself; with flora set up around the entire space, and the historic architecture surrounds each other as if they echo, Repercussion is intended to embrace all these intriguing elements into its frame, to keep and secure the memories, and to work like a transparent Pandora box that will never reveal again.
“Art's whatever you choose to frame.”

In music, "Allegro ma non troppo" (aka AMNT) is a tempo mark indicating a passage to be played fast or joyful, but not too much. The printmaking of AMNT are spray paint aquatints, where one of them has gone through digital fabrication. Each piece represents an acquaintance with a song that indicates a friendship, with certain extent of trust in between is just right and not too much, as the idiom goes: a hedge between keeps friendship green; while one of AMNT is regarding an unbalanced-friendship wandering the edge.

The Dilemma of Botany Garden showcases 4 pieces which were created in 2014 and 2016, and each backdrop pattern from the drawings are inspired by the English textile designer William Morris (1834-1896). On top of the pattern, Several still life objects are purposely laid on top of the backdrop to draw the audiences' attention away. Combining the unfinished still life on top of the wallpaper, the work attempts to associate the contemporary art approach with the Arts and Crafts Movement.
Sorta literally means sort of, which is the state of ambiguity, where a transparent overlapping aesthetic is adapted to address a sense of mixed feelings. Inspired by the city’s obscure verbal culture, people tend to filter the expression of their feelings by saying, “kind of”, “maybe”, “could be”, or “sorta”. Thus the flora is enigmatic with the fading in and out of the background foreground relationship. Expressive brushstrokes and multiplied layers allude to the city lifestyle as everyone struggles to multi-task. In Sorta, uncertain forms merge with a hazy backdrop into atmospheric layers, bringing minds into the sea swells of ambiguity.
